Argentina lies over UK Falklands losses
Daily Express
|November 17, 2025
A NEW £10million Falklands War Museum in Argentina claims the UK is covering up the number of British servicemen who died.
Rather than the official figure of 255, it suggests up to 1,200 lost their lives in the South Atlantic in 1982.
The claim has infuriated veterans who fought with the Parachute Regiment and other units, who accuse the Argentinians of "a pathetic attempt to rewrite history".
Other lies aired by the state-run museum in Bariloche, Patagonia, include that the British starting the war by attacking civilians.
The museum, opened by Argentina government officials last month, is described as an "educational space".
