Anger at monthly bin collection plan

RESIDENTS in a city where black bin collections could be cut to once every four weeks have lashed out at the plan.

The council says it is needed to make savings and improve recycling rates. But Grace Billingham, 35, whose youngest child is in nappies, said it wouldn't work for families and "could lead to more fly-tipping".

Hannah Winter, 51, and her partner Sharif Hussain, 59, said Bristol City Council's proposal was a "little crazy". Hannah added: "We are a family of three and we would struggle.
