£2.2m Lottery syndicate winner caught in police child sex abuse sting

A CHARITY worker who won a share of a National Lottery windfall has been jailed for child sex abuse following a police sting.

Father-of-two Anthony Dugard, 60, was arrested in July after travelling to meet what he believed was a child with the intention of abusing them.

Instead he was met by police officers behind the sting in Swindon, Wilts.

Dugard was remanded in custody after admitting four child sex offences, and onexamination of his phone officers became aware of further offences against a child, who was 15 at the time of the abuse.

The girl was able to provide evidence that he had coerced and exploited her over a period of several months.

Dugard of Grimsby, Lincs, subsequently pleaded guilty to a further five child sexual abuse offences.
