Harriers' terrific trio earn Great Britain calls

THREE Croydon Harriers have earned international selections over the past week.

UK discus record holder Lawrence Okoye and European bronze medal 100m man Romell Glave both received a call up for the team to represent Great Britain in the European Nations Cup to be held in Madrid at the end of the month

Further international honour came the club’s way courtesy aspiring sprinter Farrell Fabusiwa who was selected to run for the Great Britain U20 tam in the prestigious Mannheim Gala Meeting also at the end of the month.

In common with the vast majority of ambitious young athletes throughout England, local athletes were in serious action in the Surrey and London Schools Championships.
