Police officer nets more than three million views after football fun

THE actions of a policeman have been hailed online after he reacted to the demands of a group of children in a park - but not for the reason you'd expect.
Sgt Matt Stonier's skills on the job have gone viral on social media after footage of the Nantwich copper with a football at his feet left the public highly impressed.
One of several lads on the Cheshire pitch could be heard telling Sgt Stonier: “Go on policeman. Come on.”
Duly obliging, the uniformed officer took a small run up before expertly chipping the ball to strike the nearby goalpost's crossbar.
With his arms out in celebration, the stunned youngsters couldn't help but cheer his success.
“Talk about pressure in policing!” joked Nantwich Police on Facebook afterwards.
“When cops take on kids at the crossbar challenge there can only be one winner! Some say they're still celebrating now!”
