Town prepares for popular event
REGULAR visitors to Nantwich Food Festival know they can expect high quality events and music as well as good food at an event that runs from August 29-31.
The Food History Walking Tours, which were introduced last year, were so popular they have again been organised with both breakfast and lunch tours available to book via the festival website.
The breakfast/brunch tours start at 9 for 9.30am on Friday and Saturday and 9.30 for 10am on Sunday.
Edwards Deli is the first venue for a mini matcha and acai smoothie bowl, then it’s on to Upstairs at the Bookshop, where Denise and Steve - originally from South Africa - will give a savoury breakfast taster based on Bobotie curried mince beef and scrambled egg on toast (veggie option available).
Finally you will pop into Cafe de Paris for a coffee and cake taster (Friday and Saturday) and Bear and Boost at Running Bear on Sunday.
Due to the nature of the tour, dietary requirements or allergies cannot be accommodated.
Lunchtime tours start at the museum at 11 for 11.30am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The tour will work its way down to Welsh Row taking in some food history of Nantwich on the way.
