Affordable homes plan for countryside

PLANS have been submitted for 85 affordable homes in the open countryside at Crewe.

Breck Homes wants to build the properties on 2.85 hectares of undeveloped land off Broughton Road.

The site is bound to the west by a stretch of railway between Crewe and Winsford; to the south by Bradfield Road, to the west and north west by dwellings off Broughton Road, and to the north by a stretch of undeveloped land skirting the railway lines.

A planning statement submitted by Mosaic Town Planning on behalf of the applicant states: "The proposed development will consist of 85 affordable dwellings, constructed by Breck Homes and subsequently transferred to a locally active registered provider that operates in Cheshire East."
