LAMPARD BEMOANS LACK OF PREP TIME FOR CITY'S TOUGH TRIP TO OWLS
FRANK Lampard's delight at Coventry City's 4-0 win away to Millwall was tempered by the short turnaround the Sky Blues have to their next game.
With the final whistle having gone at the New Den at around 10pm on Tuesday night and a journey home ahead of them attention quickly turned to today's trip to Hillsborough.
To make matters worse City are not only having to manage fresh injuries to Victor Torp and Josh Eccles, their preparation time for their next match was reduced by the fact this weekend's kickoff has been brought forward to 12.30pm.
By comparison Sheffield Wednesday have had an extra day to recover from their 2-2 draw at Birmingham City.
Speaking to BBC C&W in south London Lampard balanced happiness with slight irritation.
"I get scared when I talk about it as if it just comes easy because it's only the next game and what we do we are always going to ignite the fans, if we come off it we won't so much," he said.
"It's good at the moment but I am thinking about Sheffield Wednesday, we have to have that mentality.
