Historic city club stands empty years after closing

A HISTORIC Coventry city centre club is still available to let - years after it shut down.

The Royal Warwick's Club (right) was initially started by soldiers from the 7th battalion of the Royal Warwickshire regiment after the First World War.

The building in question, on Tower Street by the ring road, is understood to have become their home in the 1970s having previously been located on Prior Street.

In more recent years the club became associated with the Coventry branch of the Rangers supporters club. Members have since relocated to Lythalls Lane.

The building is currently listed with Loveitts online.
