Charity's festive effort to sidestep food bank shame

CHRISTMAS DINNERS DELIVERED

A COVENTRY community charity that works year-round to tackle food bank stigma will ensure struggling residents can enjoy all the trappings of a full Christmas dinner in their own homes.

Urban Goodies CIC, based at the Hagard Community Space in Willenhall, has spent the past four years delivering Christmas dinner hampers complete with meat, vegetables and all the trimmings.

The packages even include presents for children and parents as well as sweets and goodies to top it all off with that extra special Christmassy feel.

But the charity runs much deeper than just helping people over the Christmas period.
