Blaze at derelict hotel 'started deliberately'

FIREFIGHTERS have confirmed the blaze at a derelict Coventry hotel is believed to have been started 'deliberately.

Crews from across Coventry and other parts of the West Midlands tackled the fire at the Allesley Hotel on Birmingham Road having been called to the scene at 2.30pm on Sunday 2 November.
It has been confirmed the flames spread to the building's roof after a fire was started on the second floor. It has also been confirmed no one was hurt during the incident.
It is the second time in less than two weeks firefighters have been called to the same place.
