PRAYER SERVICE AND PICKETING AS PART OF NATIONAL SHUTDOWN
In an effort to raise gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) awareness, Lingelethu-West police, local Community Policing Forum (CPF), Men For Change and Lingelethu-West Women's Network, held a special prayer service at the station, and later moved on to picket at the corner of Spine and Makabeni roads.
The service, on Friday 21 November, formed part of the national shutdown on GBV campaign organised by Women For Change, a nonprofit organisation that advocates for the constitutional rights of women and children in the country.
