"Deplorable", "appalling" and "dangerous". These are just a few of the words motorists and residents use to describe the state of the roads in Samora Machel, which they call on the City of Cape Town to address urgently.
White Hart Lane through Kosovo into Oliver Tambo Drive, which connects the neighbourhood with the Leagues, is the most affected area according to residents.
Another heavily-affected area is Oliver Tambo Drive, close to the corner of White Hart Lane and Parkway into Colorado.
The less-affected roads are riddled with potholes or covered with raw human waste, creating a health hazard for residents.
These roads include Jenny Schreiner Walk, Moses Madiba Crescent, Govan Mbeki Road, Lillian Ngoyi, Robert Sobukwe, Solomon Mahlangu, Chris Hani Crescent, Bathandwa Mdingi Crescent and Leonard Radu Road, to mention a few.
