POPULAR local venue Glastonbury Assembly Rooms has launched a £10,000 appeal.

The page on the JustGiving website says: "The Assembly Rooms of Glastonbury (Registered community benefit society) needs no introduction to many.
"A totally unfunded autonomous community Arts centre. We have tried to get several grants lately to do a few much needed jobs to the building, with no joy.
"One of the current urgent things that needs done is to repair some external masonry by front entrance. We managed to repair the other side not long ago.
