'Council's financial position remains strong'

CEREDIGION Council ended the 2024-25 financial year actually underspending by more than £300,000, against a previous expected underspend of nearly £100,000.

At the July 1 meeting of Ceredigion County Council's cabinet, members received a report on the on the final 2024-25 revenue position, presented by Cllr Gareth Davies, cabinet member for finance and procurement.

The report said the final quarter-four position had improved from quarter-three's £97,000 forecast underspend to £310,000, against a 2024-25 budget of £193.6m.
