Innovators launch edu app

TWO young people from Gumbani village in the Collins Chabane Local Municipality have developed an educational tool that is transforming access to education for learners from underprivileged backgrounds.
Malunghelo Mathonsi (25) and Mikhongelo Shibambu (22) are the proud developers of the Novar app, an online learning platform currently available on Google Play Store. The app focuses on key subjects, namely life sciences, physical science and mathematics - from Gr 8-12, and has already attracted over 50 000 users.
The idea was born in 2022, driven by their own struggles in accessing educational resources during their high school years.
