Tripura's unemploy- ment rate is lower than national average

When opposition parties raised their voice over growing unemployment, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha claimed that the unemployment rate in the state is much lower than the national average.

"According to a survey, the unemployment rate in Tripura in 2018-19 was much higher than the national average. In 2018-19 national average was 5.8%, and the state average was 10%. And in 2023-24, the state average is 1.7% while the national average is 3.2%," Dr Saha said.
