State Roads, Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy said that for the first time in the country, solar battery units have been set up with members of women self-help groups in Nalgonda district, Kattanguru mandal and Aitipamula to generate electricity and earn income using solar energy.On Tuesday, he inaugurated the "Swachha Shakti Off Grid Cooperative Solar Battery Units" set up by Swabags Labs with the financial assistance of Komatireddy Pratik Foundation in Nalgonda district, Kattanguru mandal and Aitipamula, and also handed over the agreements signed between the Swachha Shakti Kendra and women's groups.Addressing the meeting organized on this occasion, the minister said that there is nothing that women cannot achieve if they set their minds to it and that women are not limited to the kitchen.

He said that developed countries like America and Japan are moving away from nuclear and thermal power and are moving towards solar power generation, He said that in the past, when his government was in power, during the tenure of the late Chief Minister Rajasekhar Reddy, financial assistance was provided with the idea of making women millionaires, and at the same time, he gave bank loans of Rs 350 crore to women's self-help groups as a legislator. Currently, under the tenure of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the state is moving forward with the goal of making one crore women millionaires. He revealed that with the aim of women coming up on their own, 50 self-help women have been given Rs 50 lakh through the Pratik Foundation and units have been set up. He also said that soon these 50 women will be given bank loans of Rs 3 lakh each through banks. He revealed that financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each will be provided to unemployed youth for self-employment on June 2 under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme.
