CM Revanth demands BJP to give Vice President post to Bandaru Dattatraya

: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy reiterated that the state government is committed to hold the Local body elections by implementing a 42 per cent quota for BCs (backward Communities).

Addressing the media at his residence today, the Chief Minister pointed out that the High Court has already ordered the state government to hold the local body elections within 90 days ( by September end) and finalize BC quota by July end (within 30 days).

The CM expressed his anger that the Union Government adopted delaying tactics in approving the two bills, which were already discussed and approved by the Telangana Legislative Assembly to provide 42 percent quota for BCs in education and employment sectors, and political opportunities in the Local Bodies.

To exert pressure on the centre for the approval of the BC quota bills, CM Revanth Reddy said that he will meet Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday morning and brief about the Socio-Economic, Educational, Employment, Political and Caste Survey (SEEEPC) conducted by the Telangana government and the policies followed by the state government.
