Stricter Aadhar issuance rules in a few days : Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the government will make the Aadhar issuance for adults stricter in a few days with the exception of the tea garden population.

The Chief Minister said this on his X handle today and added that the move is being done to ensure that no infiltrator can legally obtain the card and disturb India's harmony.
"Infiltrator Mukt Assam is our goal and we will NOT STOP till it is attained," Sarma said on his X handle.
"We are adopting a multi-pronged strategy to detect illegal immigrants--regulating Aadhar issuance via DCs is just one step we are taking in this direction," Sarma said on his X handle.
