Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar demands removal of non-Hindu staff from TTD, calls for development of key temples

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday strongly criticised the continued employment of over a thousand non-Hindus at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), calling it an affront to Sanatana Dharma.

Speaking to the media after offering prayers at the Tirumala temple on his birthday, Bandi Sanjay questioned the rationale behind hiring individuals who do not subscribe to Hindu beliefs in one of the most sacred Hindu institutions.

"Will Hindus be given jobs in mosques or churches if they go there with their heads covered?" he asked, expressing his outrage. "Despite changes in governments and rulers, this unacceptable practice continues. This is not just a question of employment, but of faith, customs, and preserving the sanctity of our temples."
