Journalism is bridge between Govt and people: Special Commissioner Priyanka

: Special Commissioner of Information Department C Priyanka on Thursday emphasised that journalism serves as a vital bridge between the government and the people, ensuring that every development programme reaches the public effectively.

She reaffirmed the Telangana government's commitment to the welfare of journalists.

Addressing the valedictory ceremony of the training programme for journalists from Rangareddy district at the Media Academy in Nampally, Priyanka highlighted the changing dynamics of news dissemination.

“In earlier days, sharing news was a challenge. But today, with WhatsApp and social media, news reaches the masses in seconds,” she noted.

She stressed the responsibility of journalists to report events truthfully and transparently, as people form their understanding of society based on the information provided by the media.
