Home Secretary holds meeting to assess preparedness of civil defence mock drill

Ahead of the nationwide civil defence mock drill on Wednesday, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan on Tuesday convened a meeting with senior officials here to assess the preparedness of the exercise, as tensions between India and Pakistan continues to escalate.

The government will conduct the mock drill across 244 categorised civil defence districts of the country.
The aim of the exercise is to create awareness among people about rescue preparedness in case of an attack and enhance the readiness of civil defence mechanism across all states and Union Territories.
