Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the State Government is fully committed to ensuring the effective and equitable utilization of Krishna River waters for the benefit of the farming community and the overall development of the state.
Accompanied by Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Khammam District Collector Anudeep Durishetty, and Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt, the Deputy CM visited Palair Reservoir in Kusumanchi Mandal on Monday. From there, they inaugurated the release of irrigation water through the Nagarjuna Sagar Left Main Canal (Lal Bahadur Canal) for the Kharif agricultural season.
Addressing the media on the occasion, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka said, Water is being released today from Palair Reservoir under Nagarjuna Sagar Zone-2 for the ayacut farmers. The government is taking all necessary steps to strengthen the agriculture sector, boost power supply, and expedite multipurpose irrigation projects.
