Cyber criminals thrive by exploiting fear, greed, and lack of awareness among the public, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar, IPS, said on Saturday, stressing that informed and alert citizens are the strongest defence against the growing menace of digital fraud. He was addressing the 'Jagrut Hyderabad - Surakshit Hyderabad' cyber awareness programme organised by the West Zone Police at the Madhura Nagar Committee Hall.

The CP Hyderabad said cyber offenders increasingly use psychological pressure, impersonation, and false urgency to trap victims, adding that no government agency arrests people digitally or seeks personal details over phone calls or video chats.
