Daily Attendance via Facial Recognition App Must in Govt Schools: Mahabubnagar Collector

District Collector Viziendira Boyi has instructed all headmasters of government schools in Mahabubnagar to strictly ensure daily student attendance through the Facial Recognition App.

The Collector issued these directions during a WebEx meeting with Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs), school headmasters, junior college principals, and sectoral officers held at the Mini Conference Hall in the Collectorate on Friday.

Expressing concern over the low attendance rate in the district, the Collector emphasized that the app should be used consistently, even in areas with poor mobile connectivity. “The attendance can be captured offline and will sync automatically once network is restored,” he said, cautioning staff not to neglect the process citing technical excuses. He reminded that recording student attendance is the direct responsibility of headmasters.
