Video Conference Held with District Collectors to Review Key Government Programmes Hyderabad: Chief Secretary of Telangana, K. Ramakrishna Rao, on Tuesday conducted a video conference with district collectors to review priority government programmes.

Forest and Environment Minister Konda Surekha also participated in the review, which included wide-ranging discussions on issues such as Vanamahotsavam celebrations, Indiramma housing, fertilizer availability, oil palm cultivation, control of seasonal diseases, and pending applications under the Bhoo Bharati revenue initiative. Speaking on the occasion, CS Ramakrishna Rao urged district collectors to ensure the successful implementation of Vanamahotsavam with active public participation. He emphasized that each district should prepare a detailed plan and upload plantation details with geo-coordinates in real-time. The CS said that over 2.3 lakh Indiramma housing sanction orders have been distributed, and construction for over one lakh houses has already begun. He instructed officials to complete the foundation and basement stages before the monsoon intensifies. Rao reiterated that the government is supplying free sand for housing and has waived seigniorage charges, and that beneficiaries of pending double-bedroom houses have been empowered to complete construction with government financial assistance being directly transferred to their accounts.
