CPI(M) to launch relief drive for Mandi flood victims, slams govt over road restoration and land issues

The Mandi District Committee of the CPI(M) has expressed deep concern over the massive devastation caused by recent natural disasters in Siraj, Karsog, Nachan, Dharampur, Jogindernagar, and other parts of Mandi district.

In a press note issued today, District Secretary Kushal Bhardwaj demanded the state government initiate relief, rescue, reconstruction, and rehabilitation works on a war footing.
The committee mourned the deaths in the disaster and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families while urging the state to expedite search operations to trace missing persons.
It also called upon party members across Mandi to contribute financially and logistically towards relief efforts. A district-wide fund and material collection campaign would be held from July 10 to 25.
