Vigilante attack in Philippi: Police seek to identify victims

DETECTIVES are working to identify the victims and track down those responsible for a suspected vigilante attack after the bodies of three men were discovered burnt in Siqalo informal settlement in Philippi.

Police spokesperson Andrè Traut said officers were alerted to the gruesome scene at around 5.30pm on Saturday.
"The victims were found set alight, and preliminary indications suggest that the incident is linked to vigilantism," Traut said.
