Trump sending Vance to discuss Ukraine in Europe

US VICE President J D Vance will meet UK Foreign Minister David Lammy and other European and Ukrainian officials in Britain as part of a renewed push for peace negotiations on the Ukraine conflict, Reuters reported at the weekend, citing a spokesperson for Downing Street.

Vance’s trip seems intended to pave the way for a summit between the Russian and US presidents in Alaska on Friday, where resolving the conflict between Kyiv and Moscow is expected to be at the top of the agenda.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has spoken to Ukraine's Vladimir Zelenskiy ahead of the forum with Vance and the expected Putin-Trump meeting, according to the Reuters source.
