BUDGET Speech 2025 was finally delivered in Cape Town yesterday.

After all the conjecture, court hearings, and political brands claiming bragging rights for kicking into touch Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana’s previous attempts to hike the VAT rate, it's mission accomplished for the minister.
The good news is that VAT remains at 15%.
That must be a big relief for consumers because it means they won't have to pay extra taxes for goods and services.
