Parolee drops bail bid in girlfriend’s murder case
Cape Argus
|October 29, 2025
WHILE parolee, Clinton “Duiwel” Moses made his second appearance at the Goodwood Magistrates’ Court, for the murder of his girlfriend, Hermalise Wenn, the mother of their three-year-old child, her family had the difficult task of identifying her body at the mortuary.
Wenn, a mother of two from Salberau in Elsies River, was allegedly beaten and stabbed to death by Moses, 35, on October 19, despite having a protection order against him.
The family of Wenn described Moses as jealous, abusive and controlling. When Wenn, who was a healthcare worker, tried to break off their relationship, Moses allegedly told her: “Ek gaan jou vrek maak.” (I am going to kill you.)

Their danger does not end when the cameras stop rolling. For many of them, that is exactly when the danger begins.
