Knysna Municipality worker busted in jobs for cash scandal

A KNYSNA Municipality employee and SA Municipal Workers’ Union (Samwu) representative is expected to appear in court after he was arrested for allegedly accepting money in exchange for providing jobs.
Thembela Kralo, 41, was arrested this week on two counts of corruption under the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Eric Ntabazalila, said the State alleges that Kralo was approached by a woman looking for work at the municipality.
Kralo allegedly informed her that she needed to pay R10000 to make the job opportunity happen.
