Four arrested for LEAP officer’s murder

THE City of Cape Town has welcomed the swift arrest of four suspects linked to the hijacking and murder of Law Enforcement Advancement Plan (LEAP) officer, Yonke Pakade, who was attacked at the weekend.

Pakade, 26, was off duty when he was hijacked and assaulted by a group of suspects in Sheffield Road, Philippi.
According to the City, he was stabbed multiple times and stoned before managing to flee towards the nearby Marikana Informal Settlement, where his colleagues found him in the early hours of Sunday. He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
