High in Retreat has shown that it’s never too late to turn things around after their National Senior Certificate (NSC) results jumped from 39.9% in 2023 to 84.5%, seeing a 41.7% increase in its Bachelor's pass rate.The Western Cape Education Department said the school’s pass rate was 35.9% in 2023, climbed to 66.1% in 2024, and reached 84.5% in the 2025 NSC exams. The department said the school’s bachelor’s pass rate increased from 10.7% to 41.7% over the same period.
