Baby narrowly escapes abduction during hijacking

A DRAMATIC hijacking unfolded in Cape Town on Tuesday night, when the suspects nearly drove off with a baby in the vehicle.
Just 45 minutes after the crime, police arrested a suspect, highlighting the swift response of law enforcement.
The harrowing event occurred around 7.45pm in Sydney Street, near the Good Hope Centre, when three armed men ambushed a family in a black Mercedes-Benz.
According to the police, four adults and were seated inside the vehicle with an eight-month-old baby strapped in a car seat, when they were held up at gunpoint by three men, who nearly drove off with the baby still in the car.
