SPILLANE LOOKS FOR LILYWHITES TO BOUNCE BACK FROM DEFEAT

- By STEPHEN PAGE

CAMBRIDGE City boss Mickey Spillane described his side’s 1-0 defeat to Concord Rangers as a “disappointing way” for their unbeaten run to come to an end.

The Lilywhites were finally beaten for the first time under Spillane, having put together a 13-match unbeaten run since his appointment in October.

Reggie Terry Gregory's 44th-minute strike consigned City to defeat at the FWD-IP Community Stadium at the weekend, and Spillane told his club: “It was a disappointing way to obviously [end] the unbeaten run.

“For me, obviously everyone talks about it and stuff like that, but it’s just about the next game and winning the next game, I don’t really think about the run, I just said that to the boys.
