Restaurant owner heartbroken at closure of family-run restaurant

THE latest owner of a popular Cambridge restaurant said she will “miss” serving her customers after it was announced the business had closed.

The Gardenia, locally known as Gardies or Gardis, in Rose Crescent, was a family-run Greek restaurant that served students and celebrities for decades.

Some of its celebrity customers have included Stephen Fry and Michael Portillo.
