Ofsted inspectors tell school it must improve in three areas
Cambridge News
|September 26, 2025
A FULBOURN school has been rated as requiring improvement by Ofsted, after previously being rated good.
The Waldorf Cambridge School in Hinton Road, underwent a two-day inspection between July 8 and July 10 this year.
It has been rated 'requires improvement' in three areas. These are: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes and leadership and management. It has been rated good in personal development and early years provision.
As a result, it has been rated overall as requires improvement. This is a downgrade compared to its last good rating.
Teacher and learning Lead Tina Hobday said: “We are pleased that inspectors have recognised the many strengths of our school. The areas identified for improvement are already part of an action plan that is well underway, ensuring we continue to build on our progress.
“We are confident that we can make changes in classrooms and paperwork that will ensure we are fully compliant, and that we return quickly to being an Ofsted judged 'good' school, while also continuing to be an excellent Waldorf school. Waldorf Cambridge offers a distinctive approach that gives equal weight to academic, creative, and practical subjects, providing a truly holistic education.
