Microsoft shuts down Skype, asks users to try Teams

Microsoft finally brought the curtains down on Skype on Monday, evoking memories of a bygone era when computer-to-computer video calls used to connect people globally.
A household name, Skype predates WhatsApp, Zoom, and Team.
But off late, it had been reduced to its pale shadow. From over 300 million monthly active users in 2016, the numbers had dropped to 36 million.
