India is preparing to showcase its growing maritime power ona global stage, with Visakhapatnam set to host three major international naval maritime events simultaneously in February 2026.

In what will be a first of its kind convergence, the Indian Navy will conduct the International Fleet Review (IFR) 2026, the Milan 2026 multilateral exercise, and the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) Conclave of Chiefs between February 15 and 25.

Together, these events are expected to draw participation from more than 55 countries, including both the United States and Russia, marking a significant milestone in India’s expanding maritime engagement.

WITH THESE THREE MARQUEE EVENTS TAKING PLACE TOGETHER, FEBRUARY 2026 WILL MARK A DEFINING MOMENT IN INDIA’S MARITIME JOURNEY, SHOWCASING THE NAVY’S OPERATIONAL READINESS, DIPLOMATIC OUTREACH, AND THE NATION’S GROWING WEIGHT IN SHAPING THE FUTURE OF THE INDIAN OCEAN

Senior naval officials confirmed that both Washington and Moscow have indicated they will send warships, and may even deploy aircraft to the Bay of Bengal for the high-profile engagements.

Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan said the list of participating nations is likely to grow further in the coming months, underscoring the global interest in India’s maritime initiatives.
