THE candidates to represent Burton and Uttoxeter have been revealed for the upcoming Staffordshire County Council elections.
With the deadline for nominations passed, 298 names are being put forward for election in the 62 divisions across the whole county, with each division returning one councillor.
This includes all divisions in East Staffordshire and will have a say in whether the council remains in Conservative control which it has done since 2009.
While postal votes can be cast in advance, physical voting will take place at local polling stations between 7am and 10pm on Thursday, May 1 and the final result will be known the next day.
Pat Flaherty, Chief Executive of Staffordshire County Council, said: "The County Council has an annual budget of £735 million and its services touch the lives of everyone in the county.
