FAMILY-RUN SPA WINS INDUSTRY 'OSCAR' FOR THIRD YEAR RUNNING

- By EVA MILLETT

A BOUTIQUE, family-run luxury spa in South Derbyshire is ending 2025 on a high after winning a top industry award for the third year in a row.

The Spa at Breedon Priory, in the village of Wilson, near Melbourne, has been named Best Spa in the East Midlands and East 2025 at the Good Spa Guide Awards, widely regarded as the Oscars of the industry.

The accolade was presented at a ceremony in London and follows a judging visit from the Good Spa Guide, in which inspectors experienced the full offering, including its exclusive Hideaway Retreat and dining.

In making their decision, the judges said: "The Spa at Breedon Priory is a contemporary, no-expense-spared glass-fronted spa sunk into the landscape in peaceful Derbyshire.

"Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook an impeccably landscaped garden and 24 acres of countryside in the charming village of Melbourne.
