WREXHAM, TRABZONSPOR COULD MAKE MOVE, TOO

- By LEIGH CURTIS Leigh.curtis@reachplc.com @LeighCurtis_DT

DERBY County have been linked with a move for Ukrainian defender Maksym Talovierov but face competition from Wrexham and Trabzonspor.

Talovierov’s future is under scrutiny after Plymouth Argyle were relegated from the Championship on the last day of the season.

According to reports, the centre-back’s contract includes a clause that allows him to explore a move away from Argyle if they are relegated.

Talovierov missed Plymouth’s run-in due to a knee injury but he had impressed with his performances after signing from LASK for a club-record fee back in January.

He produced an outstanding performance when Plymouth knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup in a rare defeat for Arne Slot’s Premier League title winners. He also scored in the next round in a defeat to Manchester City.

At the time of his signing, Plymouth boss Miron Muslic said: “I have been open since I joined Argyle that we would be patient to bring in the right players who could help the team.
