SPATE OF BREAK-INS SEES CAR KEYS STOLEN IN HOUSE RAIDS

POLICE have launched an appeal for witnesses following an outbreak of burglars forcing their way into South Derbyshire homes to steal keys and driving off in cars.

Police have made arrests as part of their investigation in and around Swadlincote, but are urging residents to be vigilant.

And they want to hear from anyone who has CCTV, ring doorbell or dash cam footage which covers any of the incident locations and has not already spoken to officers.

In each of the incidents listed below, offenders either gained entry to a property before stealing keys and making off with the owner's vehicle, or have attempted to break into a property or vehicle.
