Pupils in new classrooms after £730k refurbishment

NEW SEND HUB ALONG WITH NURTURE AND SENSORY ROOMS

A PROJECT costing £730,000 to open new classrooms at a Burton primary school has been completed.

River View Primary School now boasts a Trent View Hub SEND resource base, providing 16 places for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Early Years, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two.

The scheme was funded by Staffordshire County Council and included the refurbishment of an existing unused bungalow on the school site.

It also included the construction of a new building comprising of a modern teaching space, nurture and sensory rooms, and an outdoor play space.
