JOHN Eustace says Patrick Agyemang will spend up to nine months on the sidelines for Derby County and that the forward is “devastated” to miss this summer's World Cup finals.

Agyemang suffered a serious Achilles injury in the 2-0 home win over Stoke City on Monday when he landed awkwardly after attempting to chest the ball and needed to be carried off on a stretcher.

Eustace says losing the forward was a “huge blow” for the club and the striker, who has played a key role in propelling the Rams towards the Championship top six this season.
