SCHEMES RECEIVED £134K FROM COMMUNITY FUND LAST YEAR, WITH GROUPS URGED TO APPLY AGAIN
A COUNCIL has highlighted a range of Staffordshire projects - including gardening clubs and an Alzheimer’s support group - that benefited from its Community Fund last year.
More than 200 groups and organisations received funding worth £134,673 from the county council during 2024, generating a value of £976,407 in the projects supported.
Each county councillor has £2,500 that they can use to help groups and projects in their respective wards.
This year’s fund will continue to focus on helping communities help themselves, their neighbours and their local area, but will also boost projects that promote culture.
