Miss England winner aims to inspire LGBTQ community

GRACE SUFFERED ABUSE WHEN SHE CAME OUT DURING COVID LOCKDOWN
THE newly crowned Miss England says she is still taking in the scale of her win after a whirlwind few days of celebrations.
Grace Richardson, 20, won the contest on November 21, after previously taking the Miss Leicestershire and Miss East Midlands titles.
She said the achievement “feels like a win for not just me, but also every community that I'm representing,” including LGBTQ+ people and those backing her environmental work.
Originally from Birstall in Leicestershire, Grace hid her sexuality for years and faced negativity from school peers when she came out during the covid lockdown.
