IT WAS said to have been one of the most expensive TV soaps ever made in the UK, with a reported £3million budget.
Granada hoped Albion Market would become as popular with viewers across the country as long running TV favourite Coronation Street, but the show failed to find an audience and closed for business after just 100 episodes.
